The walls of the third ventricle contain some of the most crucial nerve centres and glands for physiological balance. Newly formed CSF enters the third ventricle and circulated around in a dynamo like motion. The significant of this region has long been recognised in ancient healthcare systems. In Sanskrit it is known as the ajana chakra, the Chinese call this centre “the true field of elixr” or “enlightened centre”. The third ventricle, containing both the pituitary and the pineal gland is the site of the origins fulcrum formed at conception through which the organising potencies of the Breath of Life are expressed, providing the blueprint for the formation of the whole human being.
